Not the cleanest or clearest lake in the area. OK for a quick swim. But you're better off at Duffey lake or Birkenhead lake.
After camping at Nairn falls we decided to spend the day here before heading back to Vancouver. The view is beautiful. There is a sandy area by the water and the grass was beautifully green. There is a couple of docks to hang out on. There is 1 bathroom. There is also a small playground there. Plenty of trees to stay in the shade if you need to hide from the sun. This was an enjoyable spot for my daughters to swim while I relaxed and read my book. We also saw Geese and their ducklings!
Great walk around the lake. Wheel chair accessible. Absolutely wonderful. A family friendly foreshore.
Great place to walk your dog ...or kids to splash around; the lake is fine to walk around or float on in a dingy or what have you, but swim?? It's more a swamp than a lake; there are ducks, fish, bugs, lily pads, reeds; and shredded grass floating on top. Nice scenic walk with kids & family or couples & friends, very easy trail- all flat. I dipped myself in the lake but that was it for me. For truly "beautiful" lakes see Joffre Lakes.
Close to town for easy access... and a nice walk when you're time is limited.
